The Chapter will host the AFS Annual Meeting in Seattle, September 1-8, 2011, with an anticipated attendance of about 3,000 international participants. This will require a huge effort by about 50 volunteers from the Chapter membership, to be led by a contingent of about 10 committee chairs. Initial planning will begin in 2008 and organizational activities will increase annually through the peak years of 2010-2011.
