We are writing to invite you to sponsor the upcoming Annual Meeting of the North Pacific International (Washington/ British Columbia) Chapter of the American Fisheries Society, planned for June 6-8, 2007 in Tacoma. The mission of AFS is to improve the conservation and sustainability of fishery resources and aquatic ecosystems by advancing fisheries and aquatic science and promoting the development of fisheries professionals.

Your sponsorship will help to promote discussion among fisheries professionals, planners, watershed managers, and public stakeholders, as we address our highly relevant theme “Fisheries and Development: Can They Co-Exist?”. Tangible outcomes of your sponsorship include the following NPIC special projects:

  • Student fund for meeting travel, project support, awards, and scholarships,
  • Publication support for the AFS book “Pacific Salmon Environment and Life History Models: Advancing Science for Sustainable Salmon in the Future
  • On-line access to all presentation abstracts.
