SOUND MANAGEMENT: Mountains to the Sea
March 4-6, 2008 Bellingham, WA Registration Now Open Final Call Invited Speakers, Symposia, and Contributed Sessions on freshwater, estuarine, and marine topics. We invite you to Bellingham, WA March 4-6, 2008 as the North Pacific International Chapter (WA and BC) of the American Fisheries Society (AFS), with cooperation of the Sustainable Fisheries Foundation, convenes its 2008 Annual General Meeting at the Lakeway Inn in Bellingham, WA. Conveniently located for Canadian and Washington participants, the collection of plenary talks, symposia, contributed sessions, poster session, and social events will include diverse topics of freshwater and marine fishery and aquatic science while providing rewarding networking opportunities. Our selected theme will focus on Puget Sound, Georgia Strait, and watersheds that flow into those basins. Society members, students, natural resource agencies managers and scientists, consulting professionals, and citizens can use this convenient venue to advance their professional knowledge and to keep current on emerging findings and issues. The Lakeway Inn is a spacious and comfortable venue amidst some of Washington’s most breathtaking scenery and promises to contribute to a rewarding time.

The Program Committee for the 2008 Annual General Meeting invites abstracts for presentations and posters about the topics listed above or any other topic of interest to Washington and British Columbia fisheries professionals. Please submit abstracts for individual oral and poster presentations on-line by February 15, 2008. Students are strongly encouraged to participate.
