New Leaders and a Name Change!

New Chapter Leaders
This year’s Chapter balloting was a rousing success. We had four great candidates for the two open positions on the Chapter Executive Committee. Mark Pedersen will be the new Chapter Vice President and Geraldine Vander Haegen is the new Assistant Newsletter Editor. They assumed their new offices as of August 19, 2008. Thanks also go to Mark LaRiviere and Brian Missildine for throwing their hats into the ring as well.
New Chapter Name
The initiative to change the Chapter name to the “Washington - British Columbia Chapter” was approved overwhelmingly by our membership. Because changing the name required a change of the Chapter by-laws, it needed to be approved by the AFS Governing Board, which occurred on August 16.
